The Pre-concert Experience

The TSO offers and end-to-end seamless experience for our patrons.  This experience begins long before the orchestra tunes at 8:00 p.m. on the night of the concert and helps truly create a memorable evening out.  We invite you to join us for one of our pre-concert events to connect with friends and our organization: 

Are you the CURIOUS TYPE?

For those who prefer lectures over libations, we offer the Publix Preconcert Lecture series.  The preconcert lectures allow you to get up close an personal with the TSO Conductor Finalists by attending each candidates' pre-concert talk. The talks are free to concert goers and provide insight into the music and artists performing that day. Talks are held in the Westcott Building, Room 060, last approximately 30 minutes, and begin at 7:00 p.m. before all Masterworks concerts.  Westcott 060 is accessible from the North-side entrance of Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.

Are you the SOCIAL TYPE?

For those of you who prefer imbibition over education, we offer live bands and a bar in the lobby of Ruby Diamond Concert Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. on each concert evening. Come and enjoy a drink and fellowship with friends, and hear some of Tallahassee's best non-classical musical groups.  (Non-alcoholic drinks are available, too!)
